In comparison, PokerStars offers nearly $52 million in guaranteed tournament prizes each month. Broken down, PokerStars offers a bit over $3.13 million dollars in guaranteed prize pools throughout the Monday to Friday week. Saturday’s Guaranteed line-up at PokerStars puts forth an additional $600,000 in sure bet tourney prizes. Add to the mix another $3.25 million on Sundays to the guaranteed line-up, and we see a cool $7 million in guaranteed tourney money each week at PokerStars. When factoring in special tournaments with guaranteed value, such as those tournaments found the PokerStars WCOOP, for example, the total averages out to around $52 million per month in guaranteed tournament cash.

As for overlays, PokerStars produced upwards of $385K in guaranteed poker tournament overages for the month of June, while boasting an amazing amount above $725,000 in tournament overlays for the month of May. The combined two months total over $1 million in overlays on the guaranteed tourneys at PokerStars, compared to just over $266K during the same timeframe at FullTilt Poker.

Top Guaranteed Tournament at FullTilt and PokerStars

As for regularly occurring guaranteed tournaments with the largest prize pool guaranteed, PokerStars takes top billing. PokerStars guarantees a $1.5 million prize in their weekly running Sunday Million Guaranteed. The biggest guarantee that FullTilt Poker runs on a weekly basis is the Sunday $750K Guarantee. Definitely worth noting, however, is FullTilt’s monthly $1 million guarantee. This tournament commands a $500 buy-in, and runs satellite tournaments regularly in support of it.

Additionally worth noting, is the abundance of regular guarantee tournaments offered to PokerStars VIP Club members. PokerStars offers several daily, weekly and monthly guaranteed tournaments for VIP Club members of various levels, with buy-ins costing mere FPP points.

Both PokerStars and FullTilt rank amazingly well in terms of guaranteed offerings. Each poker room holds a tremendous selection of guaranteed tourneys, which entice poker players of all kinds to participate. In terms of overlays, PokerStars has the slight edge, as the overlays at Stars far outweighs the amount of value from Tilt’s guaranteed prize pools.
